Dancing Through It All.
Wishing you all good health and peace in these challenging times, and encouraging you to dance through it all.... good and bad. This can be our best therapy, our best way of connecting, our best way of protesting, of expressing love and anger and everything in between. I am not currently offering online classes, but please check out the Pomegranate Garden Dance Platform for a lineup of daily classes with incredible teachers worldwide, and also check out Zoom classes with the incomparable Miriam Peretz here. And please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you need more personalized support.

Teaching Approach
One of my greatest passions is teaching and facilitating dance among women and girls' groups. I believe in dance as a tool for women’s health and community empowerment, for healing and blossoming from the inside, out. I established and directed a non-profit women and girls' dance program in San Andrés (Petén), Guatemala, and now teach dance in the USA and Israel. In my classes, I strive to create a space where participants feel comfortable, open, and communal, not only because those qualities are virtues unto themselves but because I believe that this is where the greatest vulnerability and, in turn, inspiration can flow. In all classes, I incorporate traditional and personalized sacred ritual--deep physical and emotional practice--to help us remember and celebrate the sanctity of our physical bodies and of the elements; to polish our hearts and practice freeing ourselves of ego; to build community; and to elevate our love. I also put a very strong emphasis on body awareness, technique, musicality, synchronization, and (eventually...) controlled desynchronization-- building a strong foundational kinetic range and vocabulary. I believe that this combined approach clears and builds paths for the widest range of authentic expression and release. All levels are welcome and challenged.
